1. Key Components of the MT2000 Series CIJ Printer:

2. How It Works:

  1. Ink Pressurization:

  2. Droplet Formation:

    • A piezoelectric crystal vibrates at high frequency (typically 60–120 kHz), breaking the ink stream into thousands of uniform droplets per second.

  3. Charging Process:

    • As droplets pass through the charging electrode, selected droplets receive an electric charge based on the print data (i.e., where ink should be applied).

  4. Deflection & Printing:

    • Charged droplets are deflected by the electric field between the deflection plates.
    • The degree of deflection determines where the droplet lands, creating characters, barcodes, or graphics.
    • Uncharged droplets continue straight into the gutter for recycling.

  5. Ink Recovery:

    • The gutter collects uncharged droplets and returns them to the ink system, maintaining continuous ink circulation.

  6. Drying:

    • The ink dries quickly (in milliseconds), making CIJ suitable for high-speed production lines.
