Marking Technology

Laser Source Generation:
The machine generates a high-powered laser beam from sources like Fiber, CO₂, or UV lasers, depending on the material.

Beam Delivery:
The laser beam is directed using galvanometer mirrors or lenses that guide the beam to precise points on the material.

Focusing:
A focusing lens concentrates the laser beam into a small, intense spot that heats the material’s surface.

Marking Process:
The laser alters the material through different methods:

• Annealing: Heating without removing material (for metals).
• Engraving: Removing layers of material to create deep marks.
• Etching: Shallow marks by melting the surface.
• Color Change (Foaming): For plastics, where the heat causes color shifts.

Cooling and Finishing:
After marking, some systems use air or water cooling to stabilize the material, especially in high-heat applications.
